Parent Review 7y ago. Ben Milam Elementary School. We have been blown away by our experience at Ben Milam, with the principal and staff, and the services provided to our special needs kiddo. We absolutely love how small the school is and that all the teachers call the children by name, not just the children in their classroom. In the 3 years we have been on campus, I have never once seen her flustered or unkind to anyone. She is patient, wise, generous with her time, and exceptionally gifted in working with children as well as managing an incredible team of teachers.

We moved across town and still drive to this school even though it is much further away because of the principal, size of the school, and the heart of the teachers.

Resident 8mo ago. It's very walkable, close to popular restaurants, entertainment, parks and the Katy Trail. It's a very dog-friendly neighborhood, too, with tons of places you can go that allow pets on patios.

Living on Cedar Springs is an experience lots of eclectic characters and fun experiences. There is a lack of parking and a heavy flow of traffic. Schools, shopping, restaurants and grocery stores are all within a few block radius.

People are unfriendly and the restaurant are lacking compared to West village and uptown. While there are parks in the area, there are very few children and the schools are not good in this area.
